David was a solicitor, London cab driver, tourist guide, writer and broadcaster before becoming a professional actor.

His recent stage work includes Roberto Zucco (LAMDA), Run For Your Wife (Sheringham Little Theatre, They F*** You Up, Your Mum and Dad (Riverside Studios) and Country Life (RADA GBS Theatre and The Old Red Lion). Film credits include The Illusionist (Filming Technology SARL and Stillking Films), Time and the Tide (National Film & TV School) and Hear Me Now (Milkwood Productions). TV includes Band of Brothers (Hanks/Spielberg) and Days That Shook The World; Piltdown Man (BBC).

In the 1950s David wrote verses for the popular comedy radio programme, Much Binding. He now writes the words and music of his songs which have been acclaimed in his one man shows, Entertaining Changes, Songs to Amuse and Three Ages of Me. Excerpts can be heard on his website, davidforest.info

BBC Radio work includes Four On A Tour (Radio 4), Dearest Chris, a biography of lyric writer Christopher Hassall (Radio 2) and talks on the World Service.
