Mark was a member of the National Youth Theatre and trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama 1977-1980.

He has twice been a member of the RDC 1982-84 (during which he played Kipps in the Classic Series) and 1989-91 (playing Ferdinand in The Tempest with Sir John Gielgud). He has enjoyed a variable career in Television, Theatre, Film and Radio.s

Mark's radio credits include, Pepita’s Daughter, The Archers and A Small Island for Radio 4, Beau Stratagem for Naxos, Westway WS, Macbeth (Ian Holm) WS.  He has starred in over 900 Radio Plays for R3 R4 & World Service. Most recently in The Moonstone BBCR4 current Classic Serial, Continuity Announcer Radio 3, Talking Books RNIB, Oxford University Press, Crimson Cats.

Theatre credits include An Evening with Gary Lineker Far East Tour, Say Who You Are English Theatre of Vienna, Soloman Royal Court, Rough Royal Court, The Real Thing National Tour, Privates on Parade Leatherhead, Way Upstream Basingstoke, Man & Superman Salisbury Playhouse and Blythe Spirit Vienna’s English Theatre.

Television credits include Ashes to Ashes BBC, Judge John Deed BBC, Spooks BBC, Murphy’s Law BBC, Casualty (3 times) BBC, The Bill (5 times) Thames, Footballers Wives ITV, Randall & Hopkirk Deceased ITV, Doctors BBC, Dr Who BBC and The Basil Brush Show BBC.

Film credits include Last Laugh directed by Sue Dunderdale, Batman Begins directed by Christopher Nolan, Shiner directed by John Irvin and Night Swimming directed by Jack Rochon.
