Originally from Cheshire, Simon was a member of The National Youth Theatre before going on to read English at The University of Birmingham. He trained as an actor at The Royal Welsh Collegs of Music and Drama.

His recent theatre work includes: four plays from Alan Ayckbourn’s Intimate Exchanges (Two by Two Theatre and tour); several repertory seasons for Sheringham Little Theatre, with roles including Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Victor in Private Lives, Fisher in Look, No Hans! and William in How the Other Half Loves; Jackie in The Deep Blue Sea (Exeter Northcott Theatre); Sir Pearce in O’Flaherty VC (Bitter Pill Productions); Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (both for the British Shakespeare Company); the title role in King Henry VIII (Rose Theatre, Bankside); Abanazar in Aladdin (Torch Theatre, Milford Haven); Poor Cousin (Hampstead Theatre); ’Tis Pity She’s a Whore (Bristol Old Vic Studio). Other favourite stage roles include Colin in Absent Friends (Tabard); Richard in The Lover (Strut & Fret Theatre Company) and Henry Carr in Travesties (4X4 Theatre Company, Edinburgh Fringe).

Simon’s screen credits include a number of independent short films and a corporate video series. Radio includes Angels in the Dark and Leaves in Autumn (Wireless Theatre Company), and other voice work has included audio book narration for Listening Books.
